It’s the weekend on Flickr.
Back to Montreal…And back to film.
I haven’t used my Yashica Electro 35 since moving to Bolivia so when my friends called me up to go shoot a protest against Police brutality, I thought it was the opportunity to reconnect with rangefinder film photography.
I desperately tried to find some tri-x 400 but in the end, had to settle for HP5. The fall of Kodak suddenly felt real…And sad.
I didn’t finish the roll at the protest which reminded me how differently I shoot film vs when I shoot digital. The 36 exposure limit really puts you in the mindset of only clicking when you feel you really have a good shot.
I guess I’ll use the rest of the exposures for some street photography on the weekend.
So remember: film is not dead, It just smells funny!
